Jane Austen film fans know him as Tom Bertram, but he's also played Beau Brummell, and the Mayor of Casterbridge's nemesis. In any case, James Purefoy will soon play a humble 16th century swordsman, Solomon Kane, in an adaptation of the stories by Robert E. Howard.
