His novel Vile Bodies was especially modeled on their set (the movie Bright Young Things is based on Vile Bodies). Diana, Bryan, their friend Stephen Tennant and others were used extensively in Vile Bodies and other Waugh works.<BR/><BR/>And a note for the comment above; Decca (Jessica) Mitford was actually a famous member of the Communist Party (it was Unity Mitford who was friends with Hitler, as well as Diana) and went on to be a Civil Rights fighter and famous muckraker. An amazing woman (her letters were just published, I highly recommend).<BR/><BR/>I'm kind of a Mitford fan...lol. Love In A Cold Climate was diverting, but nothing can ever compare to the books!
