I thought her performance was brilliant...especially in the first proposal scene. And on-screen, Toby Stephens is a lot more handsome than the picture here would suggest. -- AmyKimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12601528600962393020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8751933.post-68645761344619750042007-01-23T14:02:00.000-08:002007-01-23T14:02:00.000-08:00I'm from this side of the pond - and I agree with ...I'm from this side of the pond - and I agree with the earlier comment, and would add, Ruth Wilson is beautiful (lovely eyes and mouth). I have a notion of Liv Tyler - but is she even an actress ... or is she only in Aerosmith videos?

Ruth Wilson is a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. I really enjoyed her performance, and hadn't even read Jane Eyre. Ruth remids me a bit of Emily Watson (Breaking the Waves) - perhaps she's a upper-middle-income man's Emily Watson, or maybe Emily Watson's a high-society woman's Ruth Wilson? Who knows? But I think it's a better comparison.

I'm looking forward to next Sunday's Masterpiece Theater - and so glad it's no longer Mobil Masterpiece Theater - (goodbye big oil!!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8751933.post-1168626116313221682007-01-12T10:21:00.000-08:002007-01-12T10:21:00.000-08:00Point taken...I have every confidence that Ruth co...Point taken...I have every confidence that Ruth could kick Liv Tyler's butt in every arena of life, including acting, and I'm looking forward to seeing it. -- AmyKimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12601528600962393020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8751933.post-1168519165458323782007-01-11T04:39:00.000-08:002007-01-11T04:39:00.000-08:00Sorry, but I think describing Ruth Wilson as "a po...Sorry, but I think describing Ruth Wilson as "a poor man's Liv Tyler" is a bit of a cheek!! When you people over the pond have seen this production, it might be that you will correct your mistake and instead describe Liv Tyler as a poor man's Ruth Wilson!!

FifiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
